 summer time coye dogs.
Who out there has hunted and killed coyotes in the summer? They still have to eat so it might be worth giving an hour or two in the morning or evening a try. Still a challenge and a major accomplishment in my book

When the farmer at my place gets to cutting his hay off. We should ride out and give it a try. I wonder how productive a puppy distress call would be?

I have never been lucky enough to kill a yote outside of turkey or deer season. I guess i have only been yote hunting a couple of times. It gets warm and all I can think about is fishing, hehe

Its been a few years but I think it might have been summer when I killed two within a day or so apart I set up on them like I was turkey huntin and hit the rabbit distress call they came in on a string and I drop the hammer. That could be very addictive.

Sighted in a new AR15 coyote build last week, shooting 3/8" groups with 55gr V-max, that should be deadly to about as far as you can see a coyote on that farm. My e-caller has puppy distress already loaded. My cooler holds a lot of beer. Just sayin.....
