 cut or dont cut?
Our clover field is half good and half bad right now. One end has high stalk of something growing through the clover. The clover is still there just doesn't look as pretty. Things are looking dry so I'm scared if we cut we will be gambling with it drying out. There is no grass just the high stalks.

 Re: cut or dont cut?
We're getting ready to cut ours, as some weeds are starting to choke out the clover. If we don't get some rain, it won't matter if you have cut it or not, its gonna brown down. In the long run, though, you'll be better off to cut it back. You don't have to cut it to the ground, just set the bushhog 8-10 inches high and top clip the weeds back.

 Re: cut or dont cut?
I agree with Brian, and with the rain last night it's a great time to clip the clover. Even better if you can limit the amount of weed seeds that gets produced. I just set the bushhog high enough to clip the blooms off the clover, and it will be rebloomed in a week.
More rain is forecasted this weekend, so fire up the tractor.
